Youth O’Clock

Not for Power.
For Purpose.

I am Kayode Hamzat, Omo Iya Kayode, from Ogbomoso. Son of grassroots traders from Ile Ago, who started by selling envelopes beside a church and built Styles and Smiles to 3 branches employing nearly 100 youths.

I am contesting for Oyo Assembly 2027, Ogbomoso South under ACCORD. Not because I want a title, but because Ogbomoso South deserves a homegrown voice that stays at home.

Agbe Ga! — Let us build a future by us, for us.

About Me

Kayode Hamzat: A Homegrown Leader for Ogbomoso South

Born into the proud heritage of Ile Ago in Ogbomoso, Kayode Hamzat is not a stranger to Ogbomoso South — he is a product of it. He is an entrepreneur by fire, a manager by merit, and a leader by choice.

01

The Foundation: Lessons from Grassroots Traders

Kayode’s first classroom was not a boardroom; it was at the feet of his parents, grassroots traders. His first lesson in business came from watching his mother, a petty trader beside a church. He noticed congregants often came without envelopes for their tithes, so a young Kayode supplied them.

Small venture, big lesson: true leadership is listening to small needs before solving big ones.

A product of Royal Kids International School, Ogbomoso, he took that same spirit into the corporate world. In the highly demanding energy sector, his diligence set him apart — honored as the Youngest and Best Manager of the Year, overseeing multiple major fuel stations across Ekiti State.

02

The Enterprise: Building Jobs When Others Complained

Kayode did not wait for a government job. He mastered e-commerce and digital marketing early and built Styles and Smiles Salon — now a three-branch brand providing dignified employment to nearly 100 young people.

For him, Styles and Smiles is more than a salon. It is a job-creation laboratory. In an economy where businesses are cutting staff, he is training and retaining. He has met payroll in a hard economy — that is the kind of practical experience Ogbomoso South needs.

An Open Letter

My Message to the People of Ogbomoso South

My Good People of Ogbomoso South,

I greet you, with a grateful heart.

I am Kayode Hamzat — Omo Iya Kayode. I am not writing to you as a politician. I am writing to you as your son, your brother, your neighbor who has hawked, hustled, managed, failed, and risen again on this same soil.

My story began at the feet of my parents, grassroots traders. My first business was not millions — it was envelopes for tithes beside my mother’s petty trade near a church. That small hustle taught me what big grammar cannot teach: if you listen to people’s small pains, you will solve their big problems.

That lesson carried me to the energy sector, where I was honored as the Youngest and Best Manager of the Year in Ekiti. And later, it helped me build Styles and Smiles from one small shop to three branches, giving nearly 100 of our youths dignified work.

I tell you this not to boast. I tell you because my journey is your journey.

For the youth reading this — you who are doing POS, selling thrift, braiding hair, driving okada, learning a skill: I see you. I was you. I know what it means to start small with no godfather. That is why my mission is to make small beginnings big in Ogbomoso South.

For the elites, elders, and stakeholders reading this — you who want competence, order, and progress: I assure you, I have been tested. I have managed people, managed money, and delivered results under pressure. I will bring that same corporate discipline and integrity into representation.

Ogbomoso South does not need a representative who visits from Ibadan. We need one who lives here, listens here, and works here.

I am contesting for Oyo State House of Assembly, Ogbomoso South Constituency in 2027 under ACCORD, not because I have arrived, but because I want us all to arrive together.

I am not promising you an airport. I am promising you presence. I am promising you a voice that understands business, understands struggle, and understands service.

If I, the son of petty traders from Ile Ago who once sold envelopes, can employ 100 people — then Ogbomoso South can also rise.

If Kayode can do it, you can do it too.

This is Youth O’Clock. Agbe Ga!

Let us build a future by us, for us.

With respect and hope,

Ogbomoso South 2027

Our Vision for Ogbomoso South

Small beginnings become great futures

To build an Ogbomoso South where youth create jobs, businesses thrive, schools work, and representation stays at home. We are not dreaming of Dubai. We are dreaming of a working Ogbomoso South. That is our vision.

5-Point Vision — My Contract With You

Vision 01

A Youth Economy That Works

From hustle to enterprise

Ogbomoso South will not be a local government that exports its youth to Lagos and Canada. We will create the Ogbomoso South Youth Enterprise Hub.

  • 500 youths trained yearly in digital skills, salon business, barbing, fashion, agribusiness and tech repair.
  • Access to real micro-grants of ₦100k – ₦500k, not audio empowerment.
  • Internship link for LAUTECH and College of Education students before NYSC.

If I can build 3 branches from one shop, you too can build yours. If Kayode can do it, you can do it too.

Vision 02

Schools That Build the Future

From public schools to LAUTECH

A child in Ogbomoso South must not learn under a leaking roof. Education was what saved me, and education will save us.

  • Push for full renovation of public primary schools in Ogbomoso South.
  • Bursary and scholarship support for LAUTECH and Oyo State College of Education students.
  • Free JAMB/WAEC tutorial and form support for 200 indigent students yearly.

Vision 03

Markets That Make Money

Protecting our mothers’ trade

Our mothers are the economy. They taught me my first business beside the church. We must protect them.

  • Law to protect small businesses from multiple and illegal taxation.
  • Push for micro-credit without collateral for market women in Akande, Ayegun, Sabo and Takie.
  • Solar light and security in major markets, and storage for farm produce.

Vision 04

Health and Roads That Show Dignity

For everyone

No woman should give birth with torchlight. No farmer should lose his harvest because the road is bad.

  • Ensure PHCs in Ogbomoso South have drugs, nurses and light.
  • Quarterly grading of community inner roads — we have done it before without power, we will do more with power.
  • Push for a community solar project for streets and PHCs.

Vision 05

Representation That Stays at Home

My personal promise — this is the difference

I will not be an Ibadan Assembly member. I will be a home-based Assembly member.

  • A Constituency Office in Ogbomoso South that is open daily, not only during election.
  • Quarterly Town Hall Meeting in every ward — you talk, I listen, I take it to the Assembly.
  • Monthly Report Card online: what I said in the Assembly, what I did, how I spent.

Our Core Values

IIntegrity

No lying, no audio projects.

WWork

We will work, not just talk.

AAccountability

You will see what we do.

Our Mission

Representation that stays at home

Our mission is to restore homegrown, competent and accountable representation to Ogbomoso South — by turning youth hustle into enterprise, small business into wealth, and public service into real service that stays at home.

How We Will Do It — In 3 Simple Ways

1

To Serve, Not To Be Served.

We will listen before we talk. We will go to every ward in Ogbomoso South, sit with market women, youths, students, and elders — and take their real problems to the House of Assembly. No Ibadan politics. Home will speak again.

2

To Build People Before Building Projects.

Roads and buildings are good, but people are better. Our mission is to build people first. If we train 500 youths yearly, support 200 students with JAMB/WAEC, and give our mothers micro-credit without stress, Ogbomoso South will build its own roads with its own wealth. My life is proof — from selling envelopes to employing 100 people.

3

To Prove That Youth Can Lead With Integrity.

We want to prove one thing to Oyo State and Nigeria: that a youth from Ile Ago, son of grassroots traders, can lead with Omoluabi values — Integrity, Hard Work, and Accountability. No theft of public money. No disappearing after election. A daily open constituency office and a monthly report card.

Our Promise

We will not be perfect, but we will be present.

We will not promise what the House of Assembly cannot do, but we will do everything it can do — with all our strength.

This is Youth O’Clock.

Achievements & Track Record

Service Before Title — What We Did Without Government Power

They say “what have you done before?” Here is the answer. Long before declaring for Oyo State House of Assembly, Ogbomoso South 2027 (ACCORD), Kayode Hamzat was already doing the work of representation.

  1. Job Creation — From One Shop to Three Branches

Founder of Styles and Smiles Salon, now a 3-branch household name. Provides dignified direct employment to nearly 100 youths, and indirect income to many more. In a tough economy where businesses are sacking, we are hiring and training. This is our own laboratory for youth employment.

  2. Corporate Excellence — Youngest & Best Manager of the Year

Honored as Youngest and Best Manager of the Year in the high-pressure energy sector, overseeing multiple major fuel stations across Ekiti State. Tested in accountability, staff management, sales, and structure — the same discipline we will bring to governance.

  3. Digital & E-Commerce Leadership

Mastered e-commerce and digital marketing long before it became mainstream. Built a following of 44,000+ verified family on Facebook as a public figure (@omoiyakayode) — organic community, not bought followers. Proof that Youth O’Clock is already a structure.

  4. Community Infrastructure

Personally funded the grading of community access roads in his host community in Ogbomoso, to ease movement for residents, school children and traders. Done without government allocation, done from private pocket — because home must be motorable.

  5. Education Support

Having once struggled to afford his own fees as a product of Royal Kids International School, Ogbomoso, he now quietly pays school fees for several indigent students in his host community. No camera, just impact.

  6. Humanity & Dignity Project

On the 3rd Anniversary of Styles and Smiles, led his entire staff team to a Correctional Facility to provide free haircuts, grooming and encouragement to inmates. Because he believes dignity should never end at the prison gate. Elites call it CSR, we call it Omoluabi.

  7. Youth Mentorship — The Message

Through Youth O’Clock, his daily message to Ogbomoso South youths remains: “If Kayode can do it, you can do it too.” From selling envelopes beside his mother’s petty trade near a church to building a business empire — a practical example that small beginnings can become great futures.

Not for Power. For Purpose.

Future Propositions

My Legislative Contract With Ogbomoso South

If you give me your mandate for Oyo State House of Assembly, Ogbomoso South Constituency in 2027 under ACCORD, this is what I will do. This is not a promise list. This is a legislative contract of what the House of Assembly can actually do.

01 Youth Enterprise & Job Proposition

What it will do

  • Sponsor the Ogbomoso South Youth Enterprise Fund Bill — to create a transparent structure for micro-grants of ₦100k to ₦500k for small business owners, not audio empowerment.
  • Establish the Ogbomoso South Business Clinic — monthly practical training where real entrepreneurs teach POS, fashion, barbing, salon, agribusiness, phone repairs and e-commerce.
  • Push a motion for LAUTECH and Oyo State College of Education to link final year students to internships in Ogbomoso businesses before NYSC.

Why it matters: I started by selling envelopes beside my mother’s petty trade and built Styles and Smiles to 3 branches employing nearly 100 youths. If Kayode can do it, you can do it too.

02 Education Support Proposition

What it will do

  • Dedicate yearly constituency projects to the full renovation of 2 public primary schools in Ogbomoso South.
  • Institute the Annual Omo Iya Kayode Bursary for 50 LAUTECH and 50 Oyo State College of Education students from Ogbomoso South.
  • Launch the JAMB/WAEC Support Scheme — free tutorials and free JAMB forms for 200 indigent students yearly.

Why it matters: Education saved me as a product of Royal Kids International School, Ogbomoso. I have paid school fees for pupils in my host community without any title. I will do more with the title.

03 Market & Small Business Protection Proposition

What it will do

  • Sponsor a motion against multiple and illegal levies on POS operators, artisans, hairdressers, barbers and traders in Ogbomoso South.
  • Push for a State-backed micro-credit scheme without collateral for market women in Akande, Ayegun, Sabo, Takie and Isale Afon.
  • Advocate for solar lighting, security and storage facilities in major markets to protect goods and extend trading hours.

Why it matters: My parents were grassroots traders. My first business was beside my mother’s petty trade near a church. I understand that our mothers’ markets are our economy.

04 My 3 Health Bills — To Stop Needless Deaths

Bill A

The Emergency Admission Law

Prohibit any hospital or clinic (public or private) in Ogbomoso South from rejecting or delaying any emergency case — accidents, heavy bleeding, childbirth — on grounds of inability to pay a deposit. Establish the Treat First, Bill Later principle and create the Oyo State Emergency Trust Fund to reimburse hospitals that treat indigent emergency cases.

Bill B

The Bed App — Ogbomoso Hospital Bed Transparency System

Mandate all public and registered private hospitals in Ogbomoso to update available bed spaces daily on a free mobile platform. Any resident can instantly locate the nearest hospital with an available bed during an emergency, ending the deadly search from hospital to hospital.

Bill C

Ward-by-Ward Ambulance Service Law

Provide for at least one fully equipped ambulance per Ward in Ogbomoso South, with dedicated emergency lines displayed in markets, schools, mosques and churches. Create an Emergency First Responders Corps by recruiting and training youths in each Ward on basic first aid — creating jobs and saving lives locally.

05 Accountable Representation Proposition

What it will do

  • Open a Constituency Office in Ogbomoso South that functions DAILY with staff to document complaints and follow up.
  • Hold Quarterly Town Hall Meetings in every Ward — you speak, I listen, I present in the House.
  • Publish a Monthly Report Card on my website and Facebook (44,000+ family) — what Bills I moved, what Motions I raised, and how constituency funds were used.

Why it matters: I will not be an Ibadan Assembly member. I will be your home-based voice in the house.

Not for Power. For Purpose.
